It’s that time of year when we can reflect on the past and take perspective of our future.
The holiday season allows many of us the luxury to take a few days break from our routine. This time presents an opportunity to improve ourselves, our families, our businesses – indeed, our lives.
We know that the subconscious mind is continually active; it is processing and analyzing information. The break we take from normal activities seems to intensify this activity. Have you ever noticed that after a good night’s sleep that you have the solution to a problem that seemed difficult only the day before? Or, that you feel refreshed, centered, and in control when returning from a vacation? Use this break to refine your goals and to reflect on your achievements.
This is also an ideal time to practice thankfulness and generosity. Both actions add to the joy of the season and of our lives.
Try thanking the people who make your life better - for who they are and what they do. Thank them without expecting anything in return.
